Building health scores that stakeholders actually trust
A single number that says an integration is “92% healthy” invites questions—unless everyone can see how that number is built.
Publish the inputs: latency thresholds, completeness checks, auth refresh success, and partner acknowledgement rates. Keep the formula stable for at least a quarter so comparisons stay fair.
When you change scoring rules, call it out in the report. Stakeholders forgive method updates; they do not forgive unexplained score drops.
Pair the score with one narrative paragraph. Numbers open the conversation; plain language closes it.
